At KIPP Colorado, we are on a mission to provide exceptional education to every student we serve, in order to best prepare them for a life of ample choices and opportunities. We know that one of the best ways to advance this goal is to provide world-class educators and staff that are a consistent presence in our students’ lives long after the school year ends. We know that attracting great educators and having established pathways that enable them to have long-lasting careers are critical to having great schools. A key part of this is ensuring we are all invested in the work, from day one. That is why we are rolling out a new Compensation Program, so our teachers are the highest-paid public school teachers in Denver.
We have been laser-focused on investing in our teachers and our commitment to having the best educators in Denver. Over the past two years, we have increased our teacher compensation by over 25%. After completing an additional employee compensation initiative, we are excited to roll out an entirely new 2023-24 pay scale for every position at KIPP Colorado. This new scale means that we are now the HIGHEST PAYING public school in Denver for teacher starting salary! For us, this is not just a dollar amount, this is another way we are continuing to lead with our value of excellence, and deliver on our commitments to equity.
