Principal at KIPP Northeast Denver Leadership Academy
Julia Rich is an experienced, energetic, and passionate leader who has worked in education for the last decade—the majority of those years served within the KIPP network. Julia has driven student achievement throughout her career as a teacher, Grade Level Chair, Content Lead, Assistant Principal, and turnaround Principal. She has worked in multiple states including Virginia, Florida, and most recently, Texas. Julia believes in providing students an experience where they are enabled to be bold learners, envision themselves as future leaders, and develop the skills needed to lead choice-filled lives. She drives student results through relationship building, data-driven decision-making, and the implementation of strong school-wide instructional power cycles. She is passionate about building relationships with students, families, and the community. Julia values student experiences through her support of Culturally-Relevant classrooms and environments as she believes that students thrive where they connect, see themselves, and are valued.
In addition to school, she loves spending time with her four energetic children—who will be KIPPsters, enjoying outdoor activities, reading, and listening to music.
