KIPP Colorado partners with colleges and universities across the country as well as Colorado-based community organizations to provide incredible opportunities for our students to achieve their post-secondary goals.

Partnerships with Higher Education

We believe closer partnerships with higher education institutions are key opportunities for continued progress and learning.

WHAT WE DO

  • Identify, through reflection together, areas where we can each strengthen our support around college readiness, matriculation, and graduation – and commit to implementing these strategies.
  • Take a leadership role in identifying organizational structures and supports to improve persistence and graduation rates for our KIPPsters.
  • Our biggest college partnership is with Colorado State University (CSU), where we have a dedicated Regional Persistence Advisor based on campus to support our CSU students. We also provide a $2,500 scholarship yearly to support our KIPPsters when they start college at CSU.

Partnerships with Local Organizations

KIPP Colorado partners with local organizations and companies to provide internship opportunities for our students. We believe that internships are a vital part of the process of creating an informed post-secondary plan.

WHAT WE DO

  • We support our students to find and place in an internship program that aligns with their career aspirations.
  • We prepare our students for interviews by hosting mock interview sessions and resume-building workshops.
  • We steward new partnerships in the community to ensure a breadth of opportunities are available for our KIPPsters.
