What We Do

KIPP Northeast Elementary teaches academic skills, cultivates character growth, and empowers students on their journey to and through college. Our students will leave KIPP Northeast Elementary with the passion, skills, and desire to change the world and be leaders in the Far Northeast Denver community.

Since 2015, KIPP Northeast Elementary has been built on the belief that great schools create both excellence and equity. An excellent and equitable education will prepare our students with the passion, skills, and desire to be college graduates and leaders of the community.

We believe that an emphasis on restorative practices is an approach that honors the autonomy, intelligence, and diverse experiences of our students. An investment in social and emotional learning drives greater equity in the student experience.

Clubs & Activities

KNE has an on-site partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver. They offer before and after-school care on-site at KNE. Before school care begins at 6:30 AM and after school care goes until 7:00 PM. KNE also offers after-school clubs throughout the year for students to opt into joining.

Family Opportunities

KIPP Family Association

The KIPP Family Association at KNE meets monthly and supports family events at the school, celebrations for staff, and volunteer opportunities.

Coffee Chat with Leadership

Families meet monthly with school leadership at the Coffee Chat with Leadership meetings. During these meetings, there is no set agenda. This is an organic, open forum where families can provide input on curriculum needs, staffing, after-school programming, etc. All families are invited to attend these meetings.

Collaborative School Committee (CSC)

Parent and staff committee members are elected by their school to participate in quarterly meetings to discuss the school’s priorities, progress, and practices in order to ensure they are inclusive of family, student, and staff voices. School leaders make decisions about KNE with input from their CSC.
