KIPP Northeast Elementary is a public charter elementary school in Far Northeast Denver that is open to all students. We educate students in Early Childhood Education (ECE) to 4th grade. Our mission is to provide an excellent and equitable education that empowers students on their journey to and through college and prepares them with the passion, skills, and desire to be college graduates and leaders of the Far Northeast community. Our four values are: community, love, growth, and justice.

Maria Mun
Principal, KIPP Northeast Elementary
Maria has been a member of the KIPP Colorado team since 2017, contributing at KIPP Northeast Elementary in various capacities across culture, instruction, and operations. In her most recent role as KNE’s Assistant Principal of Operations, Maria has met and exceeded the school’s enrollment and recruitment goals, driven increased attendance for students across the school, and consistently met and exceeded expectations on the KIPP Colorado Operational Excellence Tool. Guided by a strong commitment to respect and harmony, Maria brings these core values to all aspects of her work.
She shares: “My vision for KIPP Northeast Elementary is that our school is an extension of a student's home, where every student builds confidence because they are safe and known; and ultimately fall in love with learning because they are surrounded by adults who show care for them by engaging them in rigorous learning that they know is deserved. I am thrilled to extend my leadership, share my expertise and remain committed to an exceptional student experience."
