KIPP Colorado Public Schools Advocacy & Community Engagement (ACE) spearheads partnerships with organizations that offer social, emotional, financial, technological, cultural, and employment resources for our families that are vital to the sustainability of our schools. Family Engagement
We know that parents and guardians are experts in knowing their students. We invite all KIPP Colorado caregivers (parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles, legal guardians, etc.) to participate in their KIPPsters’ education.
ACE engages with caregivers from all six KIPP Colorado Public schools to develop family leaders on our Family Council. Council members represent family voices to our administration, they are a point of contact for any KIPP family member to reachout to and they get involved in community building within all KIPP Colorado Public Schools and their neighborhoods.
Do you know a family that would be interested in KIPP Colorado Public Schools?
Collaborative School Committee (CSC)
Parent and staff committee members are elected by their school to participate in quarterly meetings to discuss the school’s priorities, progress, and practices in order to ensure they are inclusive of family, student, and staff voices. School leaders make decisions about their school with input from their CSC.
All CSC meetings are open to the public. Find upcoming meeting dates and past meeting notes for each school in the Family Opportunities tab on the school’s About page. You can also reach out to the principal at each school for more information.
