Dear KIPP Colorado Community Members, Partners, & Supporters,
As we launch the 2024-2025 school year, I am excited to share some achievements from the first week of school. Our regional attendance rate is impressively 94.7% this week and had a 60% reduction in absences compared to the first day of school last year. These wins are a testament to the months of hard work and dedication from our incredible operations teams.
Across all our schools, the start of the year has been marked by vibrant energy and impressive engagement. Excitement was palpable as students dove into their lessons from day one, with seamless transitions and dynamic activities maintaining high momentum.
It was truly inspiring to watch teachers artfully balance launching instruction while building a strong rapport with our KIPPsters from day one. The deliberate teaching of routines, the pursuit of full engagement through positive reinforcement, and the commitment to real-time coaching and professional growth have been remarkable.
These efforts highlight our shared dedication to fostering an exceptional student experience for every KIPPster, every day.
I am deeply grateful for the commitment and enthusiasm of our educators and leaders. I look forward to building on this momentum to create an environment where every student has a joyful, academically challenging, and identity-affirming school year.
